PROTO DIE – Start of new information campaign | 17/01/2011
With the new campaign G.W.P. continues the great success with the new prototypes.

G.W.P. Manufacturing Services AG started a new information campaign in January 2011 for PROTO DIE, the method for genuine die casting prototypes introduced last year. The prototype manufacturer is drawing attention to the innovation with new information material, attention-getting advertisements in trade magazines, Internet portals and various mailing campaigns. The PROTO DIE campaign starts with the first delivery of information cards, and offers information, reference samples and advice in developmental projects for interested parties.

Die casting prototypes at the Rapid.Tech trade fair

G.W.P. AG will be presenting the advantages of PROTO DIE as well as other offers pertaining to prototype construction at the Rapid.Tech trade fair in Erfurt from May 24th to 25th. The specialized trade fair for rapid prototyping with symposium for rapid technology provides a good opportunity for interested designers and developers to become better acquainted with the possibilities of PROTO DIE.

Aluminium die casting prototypePROTO DIE is a method developed by G.W.P. in which prototypes from die casting preforms can be manufactured with serial properties. Thanks to the optimization of mold design for low shot capacity, newly designed components can be tested for the first time from the beginning on with genuine diecast prototypes. Potential design flaws will be detected very early with PROTO DIE. Product developers obtain more reliability and purchasers lower developmental costs as a result of the innovative method. The process reliability of future serial production and the matching with completing components will be improved through the utilization of these prototypes. The product development cycle is shortened, which entails an important advantage in terms of time and costs.
