Gravity diecast brass
Quality springs from experience

G.W.P. AG manufactures ready-to-install brass diecast components weighing up to 3 kg. We cast heavy-duty pump housings, valve parts or fitting parts with high dimensional accuracy and surface quality using gravity diecasting.

Brass gravity diecast parts have a very even structure and are highly corrosion resistant and easy to process. Brass gravity diecasting is used in all branches of industry for a wide range of construction parts. Typical brass cast parts are housings, fittings, switches and fixtures.

In brass gravity diecasting, first a metal permanent mold is created. G.W.P. manufactures the permanent molds and any necessary mold cores according to the customers workpiece drawings. After sampling, the brass cast parts are produced in series. The molten brass is poured manually into the permanent molds. Great experience and skill are essential to the quality of the cast brass parts. G.W.P. can rely on proven employees and partners in mold construction and gravity diecasting.

Everything from a single source:

G.W.P. delivers more than just cast parts – If needed, we combine cast parts and supplementary parts in additional steps to form assemblies.

As a specialist in gravity diecasting of small and medium-sized batches, G.W.P. can offer brass gravity diecasting at very competitive prices. Low-cost molds for gravity diecast parts give our customers a decisive advantage.

Take advantage of our experience with brass gravity diecasting – Rely on G.W.P.!

Advantages of brass gravity diecasting:

Brass gravity diecasting produces an even, dense structure with attractive mechanical properties due to the fast and oriented hardening of the brass melts in permanent mold. Gravity diecast parts of copper / zinc alloys have a high level of dimensional accuracy. high thermal and electrical conductivity as well as a high strength and fatigue limit make cast brass a desirable material in machine construction and the electronics industry. Due to the high corrosion resistance even in aggressive media, cast brass is used in pump construction for housings, valves and fittings. Undercuts and cavities in cast parts can be achieved by using core inserts.

Brass gravity diecasting is generally suitable for batches of 1,000 - 10,000 castings of less complicated, thick-walled parts, however batch sizes of 100 units are sometimes economical.

Brass alloys for gravity diecasting

We use all conventional international copper / zinc alloys for manufacturing; special brass upon request. Here is a selection:

Brass alloys according to DIN EN 1982 for gravity diecasting
Numerical alloy designationchemical alloy nametypical uses
CC754SCuZn39Pb1Al-C*for general construction parts, fixtures, fittings, small machined parts, electrotechnology, precision engineering, optics
CC761SCuZn16Si4-Cfor wearing parts, spacers, clamp pieces, electrotechnical parts
CC766SCuZn37Al1-Cfor housings, latch levers, adjusting wheels in machine construction
