Mechanical components for rail vehicle construction
The transportation industry and especially the railway vehicle industry are subject to extremely high demands for component reliability due to the extreme physical loads and average 30-years of use.
Components that affect safety are also subject to standards such as the International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS). Sometimes plastic components must fulfill fire-resistance requirements according to DIN CEN/TS 45545-2. Heavy parts are always expensive, especially moving parts. In rail vehicle construction, there is an increased demand to replace steel and cast iron parts with optimized aluminum components, as well as a demand for fiber-reinforced composite materials for complex shapes that are light, stable and weather-resistant.
Rail vehicle components
For many years, G.W.P. has been successfully producing mechanical components for railway vehicle construction. As a supplier for the transportation industry, we specialize in small to medium-size batches as well as manufacturing processes involving high initial production costs, especially tooling costs. Technology consultation, design suggestions to optimize production, and casting simulations are services that we offer to support the customer's construction efforts.
We focus on die casting, injection molded plastics, the production of fiberglass-reinforced plastics, extruded specially-shaped aluminum parts, and the machining of aluminum. We round out our services as a one-stop supplier of mechanical assemblies with high-quality surface coatings and the assembly of modules and components: Everything from a single source!
Whether plastic cover strips, housing for high-frequency antennas, milled aluminum front panels for electronic controls or special shaped parts - G.W.P. combines technological expertise with branch-related experience to the advantage of its customers.
We specialize to your advantage.
