Rapid tooling (RT)

Do you need economical dies or casting molds for pilot lots? By using rapid tooling early on, there is substantial potential for shortening product development time.

Rapid tooling (RT) describes the production of economical tools from 3D CAD data for quickly manufacturing prototypes with production-like characteristics. G.W.P. preferably uses rapid tooling for diecasting and injection molding. A great deal of money can be saved by using standardized mold frames that are combined with mold inserts (growing module die). RT technology employs methods used for Rapid Prototyping as well as conventional Prototype construction (CNC milling, EDM). In certain cases, it can be useful to use inexpensive dies for small batches of very strong aluminum alloys.

Cost-optimized tool manufacturing

G.W.P. is an experienced manufacturer of quality dies that specializes in small and medium batch sizes. Our particular strength is economical dies. In particular, customers that have to fabricate dies relatively often for new products find that we are the right partner for them. Close, early collaboration between designers, die builders and series production is fundamental for successful time-to-market and exploiting cost reduction potential.

G.W.P. offers everything from a single source: Production optimization, pilot series dies and molded parts including all finishing steps, surfaces and assembly. Take advantage of our experience in rapid tooling for diecasting dies and injection molds!
